Pharmacy Services at Presbyterian can help you fill prescriptions for new or specialty medications through the Specialty Care Pharmacy and the Sample Pharmacy. Services through the Specialty Care Pharmacy, the Sample Pharmacy, and with our pharmacist clinicians are not traditional pharmacy services and are only available to patients who qualify and are in the Albuquerque metro area. You can still fill or refill your regular prescriptions at your local pharmacy or drugstore.
We also offer retail pharmacy services at our Clovis location, which is open to serve our patients as well as the greater public in this area.
Our pharmacists are here to help answer any questions you might have about taking your medications, including side effects or other medication or supplement interactions.
Specialty medications are important to improve the health of many patients. They are generally used to treat serious, chronic, and often rare conditions. Because they are used to treat rare conditions, they are often some of the most expensive medications used today.
Our Specialty Care Pharmacy offers these medications in the most cost-effective form as possible and provides support from our pharmacists to help make sure medications are taken correctly. We are work closely with our Presbyterian members, providers and insurance benefits administration to streamline the complex process required for specialty medications.

Educational Resources for Specialty Care Pharmacy Patients
You may need to begin taking a medication for a health condition after a visit with your provider or following a hospital admission. Your provider may write you a prescription for samples of a particular medication, so they can see if the medication helps you with your condition and does not have negative side effects before you fill the prescription at a regular pharmacy.
