Albuquerque Ambulance Service (AAS) is the largest and busiest provider of​ emergency 9-1-1 and non-emergency medical services in New Mexico. AAS provides Advance Life Support (ALS) paramedic/EMT services to the citizens of Albuquerque, the Village of Corrales and Bernalillo County. AAS also provides mutual aid services for the surrounding counties of Valencia, Sandoval, and Santa Fe. AAS provides services to the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, the Albuquerque International Sunport, the Sandia and Manzano Mountains, Kirtland Air Force Base, Sandia National Laboratory, and medical transportation throughout New Mexico.

AAS is a nonprofit ambulance service and is a division of Presbyterian Healthcare Services. AAS is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS).​

Continuing and Community Education

Continuing Education:

ASHI, NAEMT, and PEARS CE courses are free to all Presbyterian employees. For AHA courses a $15.00 fee will be assessed and for all others interested in taking a course, fees are listed below. To sign up for a course, contact one of the education commanders. Click on the link below to see the list of scheduled courses. All courses are held at the AAS main office, located at 4500 Montbel Pl. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107, unless otherwise specified. AAS accepts cash, check, and credit cards.

  • All eight hour classes (including ACLS refreshers) - $100.00
  • All 16 hour classes (includes PALS, PHTLS, EPC, AMLS) - $200.00
  • CPR Refresher - $50.00
  • Other Classes - $10.00/hour

Please call for information regarding AHA, BLS, ACLS, and PALS, as these courses are only offered on demand. To register for classes, please send in your completed registration form plus deposit to Chris Graham. Form does not guarantee placement if course is full.

Community Events:

AAS welcomes the opportunity to provide general health education and injury prevention programs for the community and charitable organization.
