Fundraising Events

Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation has several events throughout the year to raise funds in support of key programs at Presbyterian.

  • Daffodil Days

Every spring, we organize our annual Daffodil Days. Proceeds for daffodil arrangements go to Presbyterian’s Hospice program, offering care and comfort at the end of life.

  • Laughter is the Best Medicine

Every August, we feature our Laughter is the Best Medicine event. In 2012, more than 1,600 people netted more than $165,000 to build a Ronald McDonald Family Room at Presbyterian. Join us this year!

  • Memorial Tree

Each winter during the holiday season, generous donors help decorate Presbyterian’s Memorial Tree with beautiful ornaments in honor of a loved one. These keepsake ornaments – inscribed with the name of loved ones – provide funding for Presbyterian’s Hospice program.

  • Dr. Dava Gerard's Walk for Wellness

In honor of the difficult journey faced by cancer patients every day, Dr. Dava Gerard of the Presbyterian Cancer Center will walk the 500-mile Camino de Santiago, “Buen Camino,” a famous pilgrimage in Spain.

Dr. Gerard invites you to join her in honoring cancer patients with a gift to Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation’s Cancer Patient Assistance Fund . The fund provides transportation and lodging assistance to financially challenged cancer patients. More than 20 percent of Presbyterian cancer patients travel more than 50 miles each way for their treatment, adding to the burdens of life with cancer.

In keeping with the tradition of carrying a stone from home and leaving it along Buen Camino, you may also purchase a stone and have it inscribed (perhaps in honor of a loved one with cancer, to celebrate a life, an accomplishment, or a birthday) and personally placed by Dr. Gerard during her journey.
