Medicare Advantage changes: take action during annual enrollment

As a patient with Presbyterian Medical Group, we want to make you aware of a change that may impact you.

Starting January 1, 2027, Presbyterian Health Plan will no longer offer Presbyterian Medicare Advantage Senior Care (HMO / HMO-POS) plans. If you are a patient enrolled in one of these plans, you will need to choose a new plan for 2027. You will continue to have coverage, benefits and access to primary and specialty care through December 31, 2026 under your current plan.

When can I choose a new health plan?

You can choose a new health plan during Medicare annual enrollment from October 15 through December 7, 2026. We encourage you to review all available Medicare coverage options. For help finding a plan you can visit Medicare.gov, call the New Mexico State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) at 1-800-432-2080, or work with a licensed insurance broker.

Can I keep my Presbyterian Medical Group providers when I choose another plan?

During annual enrollment, you should review all Medicare coverage options. If you choose a plan that includes Presbyterian Medical Group’s primary care network, you will be able to continue to see primary and specialty care providers.

For 2027, Presbyterian Medical Group will be in network with these health plans:

  • Devoted Health

  • Original Medicare

  • Aetna Medicare PPO (for Group Retirees)

  • UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage Group PPO, excluding D-SNP plans

We’re here to support you

If you have questions, please call (505) 923-2000, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week (except holidays) through March.

You are also invited to attend a Medicare Advantage resource day on October 22 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.
