President, Presbyterian Health Plan
Brandon Fryar serves as President of Presbyterian Health Plan, a for-profit subsidiary of Presbyterian Healthcare Services based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Presbyterian Healthcare Services is a private, not-for-profit organization recognized as one of the top integrated health systems nationally.
Mr. Fryar joined Presbyterian Health Plan as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in February 2014 and has been in his current role since June 2016. Presbyterian Health Plan is the largest locally owned health plan in New Mexico, providing healthcare coverage to 466,000 members statewide. The health plan serves members in commercial, Medicare and managed Medicaid plans throughout New Mexico.
Prior to joining Presbyterian, Mr. Fryar was a partner at Moss Adams LLP, where he led the healthcare industry practice for the Southwest.
Mr. Fryar is actively involved with several organizations including: the New Mexico Medical Insurance Pool Transition Advisory Committee; New Mexico State University Accounting Advisory Council; Health Plan Alliance Finance Committee; New Mexico Coalition for Healthcare Value; and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Mr. Fryar is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from New Mexico State University.
Vice President, Chief Service Officer
Jana Burdick has been employed by Presbyterian Health Plan since January 1986. During her years with Presbyterian, Ms. Burdick has served in management roles in a number of areas including Information Services, Claims, Member Services, Enrollment/Eligibility, and Finance.
In October of 2009 she was promoted to Vice President and Chief Service Officer. In this role, she has overall responsibility for member and provider satisfaction.
Vice President, Government Programs
Mary Eden has been employed by Presbyterian Health Plan since 1992 in a variety of roles and has been accountable for Medicaid Programs since 1998. She has extensive knowledge of the unique attributes of government programs operations and regulations and was instrumental in the implementation of New Mexico's SALUD! managed care program in 1997 and the Centennial Care program in 2014.
Ms. Eden serves as the Vice President of Government Programs overseeing both Medicaid and Medicare operations. She serves as an appointed member of the Medicaid Advisory Committee representing all the Centennial Care managed care organizations, is a Board member of Safer New Mexico Now, and serves on the Women's Cabinet for the New Mexico Lung Association.
Vice President and Chief Actuarial and Underwriting Officer
Jordan Erp joined Presbyterian Health Plan as Vice President and Chief Actuarial and Underwriting Officer in 2014. He provides leadership for Presbyterian Health Plan's pricing, underwriting, medical economics, and financial risk management. Prior to coming to Presbyterian, he held various senior leadership roles in other large health benefit organizations, managing actuarial, underwriting, and product development departments.
Mr. Erp is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He holds bachelor's of science degrees in Mathematics and Mathematical Economics from the University of Kentucky.
Chief Operating Officer
Lisa Fallert joined Presbyterian Health Plan in December 2014 as its Chief Operating Officer. She came to Presbyterian from John Muir Health in Walnut Creek, California where she served as Senior Vice President, Care Coordination and Integration beginning in 2013. Prior to that, she had various roles from 1997 to 2013 with SelectHealth/Intermountain Healthcare, including Vice President of Health Care Services. Ms. Fallert is an experienced managed care executive with a clinical background and more than 25 years of leadership experience in administrative and clinical operations.
She received her registered nursing degree from Iowa Methodist Medical Center/Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa in 1997.
Vice President, Information Technology
Kathleen Rudd is the Vice President of Information Technology for Presbyterian Health Plan. Ms. Rudd has more than 17 years of experience in senior leadership in Healthcare Information Technology and joined Presbyterian Health Plan in early 2015. The health plan provides healthcare coverage for more than 430,000 members in New Mexico, serving residents in commercial, Medicare and managed Medicaid plans.
In her role as Vice President of Information Technology, Ms. Rudd has primary accountability for ensuring that the technology needs of Presbyterian Health Plan customers and members are met with the highest rate of satisfaction and responsiveness.
Prior to joining Presbyterian Health Plan, Ms. Rudd worked for both Magellan Health Services and ValueOptions in roles including Chief Information Officer for New Mexico operations and Regional Director for Texas, Kansas and Arkansas operations. Prior to her work in health plan-related Information Technology, Ms. Rudd also served as the Chief Information Officer for Dameron Hospital in Stockton, California.
Ms. Rudd received her Bachelor of Science degree from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.
Vice President and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for Commercial Product Sales
Neal Spero joined Presbyterian Health Plan in 2009 and is originally from Arizona where he graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Mathematics. He started his career as a sales executive and assistant actuary for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Arizona and went on to hold actuarial and marketing/sales leadership positions with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Utah, Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Iowa, and United Healthcare of the Midwest and shows a proven track record of success.
Prior to coming to Presbyterian, he held several leadership positions with American Community in Michigan including Sr. Vice President responsible for the profit and loss of the Individual market segment. He oversaw the sales, underwriting, product development, marketing, administration and actuarial functions and was promoted to Sr. Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer with additional responsibilities in the small and large group lines of business.
