Healthy Living for Kids & Families
Through their families, caregivers at school or childcare, and healthcare providers, children get the support they need to develop healthy eating and active living habits early in life. Presbyterian Children’s Care offers a Healthy Living for Kids and Families program, a six-month supportive option with a multidisciplinary team approach to lifestyle change. This program is designed to support children who struggle with excess weight and related health issues. Our care team meets with you and your child to identify lifestyle improvement goals together, offering solutions to help support nutrition, sleep, emotions and behavior, and medical or surgical concerns.
Our team offers support with reading and understanding nutrition labels, understanding how to eat more healthily or why kids might overeat, and how sleep and activity affect weight. We can also help connect your family into local community resources, such as free or reduced cost food programs, cooking classes, activity classes, and more.
